Stand back! I have a glue gun!

I bought a mini one, just for repairing a few ornaments (poor John Elway spent the holiday season with only one leg) and light craft work.  I want to run out and buy picture frames and all sorts of  things onto which I can glue other things.  I haven't even taken it out of the package yet and already I think I might have to upgrade to a full-sized one!

As long as you aren't armed with glitter too...

That doesn't compute... You just got one? I have 3 or 4 at my house and I bet I'm no where near as crafty as you!

That being said yYMy mom had gold and silver ones, and I know I saw some pink and purple ones recently.

I used to only do crocheting. I didn't get into beading until fall of 2012. That got me into other things.

That makes sense!
My mom has always had one, so one of the things I got my first Christmas as a married woman was a glue gun, I did some tree decorations :D

I just noticed that my first post was missing something, what I meant about the silver and gold ones was that there are glue sticks that have glitter on them.

If she gets glittery glue sticks would that change to "Armed and Fabulous"?

They taste so nasty you don't want to eat them anyway! The candy is okay (if stale) but the frosting has so much color that it tastes awful and the gingerbread part is rock hard and tastes like gingerbread flavored cardboard. Plus after you make them a week or so before Christmas and they sit around and bugs land on them (and in my house the dogs and cats lick them, not to mention the fine patina of pet hair), so they are hardly fit for human consumption at that point.

Ahhhh... I understand!

We had a different experience when I was a kid. The Gingerbread houses were made specifically for the party the family had the day of Christmas Eve. Then they would get eaten after the party. We didn't let them sit around.

This made me laugh!! I can just picture the dogs and/or cats giving it a lick or two.

I have a couple glue guns. I decorated some picture frames. I bought a couple large frames that came with the picture collage mats, and made my own collage of vacation pictures. Glued some small souveneirs (?) to the frame (shells, coins, etc.) I enjoy the glue gun!

I finally used my new toy! I attached magnets to my spice rack so I can slap it to the fridge, repaired some Christmas ornaments, and I plan to make a little dessert/"horse doovers" stand out of plates and glasses.

 That's a great idea!

I think I will try something like that!

My spice rack is too heavy for the magnets I picked. Guess I'll have to go back to the craft store for stronger ones! (Oh, darn!  )
