I check in at least daily to see what's going on and if anything needs attention... Aardi checks in quite often as well.

This board isn't nearly as busy as Invisapeeps, we average a new thread every day or two.

ETA: If there's not enough action here, you are welcome to check out my Zeta board (Great Escape)... it gets about three times the traffic of this one (I'm NOT trying to steal her Aardi... I swear!)

I am here. I can't get Zeta at work. This is a slower moving board. But if more peeps become active, it should get livlier. I hope you will stay and play with us.

A while ago, there was a post about all of us making an attempt to post at lease one topic a week, to get things moving more quickly.  I've been bad about this.  You posted a lot of thought-provoking topics on zeta, so maybe you can continue the trend here and gets us hopping!smile

No big, I have been thinking about it for some time.  The mods own the board, if their choices don't match mine, the only thing I could do is leave.

I do not mind if posters advertise other boards they own/enjoy, as long as that not the only thing they post.

I don't really remember what actually happened on zeta for you Aurora but it's cool if you don't want to say.

I have decided to try to make an effort to post more over here. I have done horrible at keeping up with Des offline so if I make an effort here, we can stay more in touch.

I'm pretty sure that only two other people know what happened because it was not obvious.  It all came down to how I felt.  Anj got some pretty bad attacks from Gills, and if it had been anyone else I would have responded because I agreed with Anj.  However, based on previous threads where Gills had done the same thing to me, I got stressed even starting the post.  I did not want to be in an environment online where I was being caused stress.  These boards are my fun, I have enough stress in my life.  I have always felt that these boards belonged to mods (which honestly was the reason I hesitated to join for so long), so if I am not happy with what is happening, I am the one that needs to go.  I'm not going to cause a fuss with the mods, because it is their property (for the lack of a better word).

So, as all these fightings were going on, on that thread, I just messaged admin and asked to be deleted.  I did ask Stimpy to give people my contact info, so he was one of the two that actually knew what happened, lol.

I understand. It always felt intimidating to disagree with a mod. They were so quick to put out the, if you don't like it, leave statement. I am glad you moved over here. I hope that we as a collective can spice things up a bit.

It wasn't only the mods who put out the 'if you don't like it, leave' bull.

No, I am a serious proponent of, if you don't like the culture decided by the mods, leave.   That is why I was consistent, and instead of complaining, left.  I don't think it is bull.  The board belongs to them.  I don't like the culture anyone, so I left.

Oh, I know. "They" was meant in general. To some extent, I agree. If you don't like a community, why stay around? It is when you question double standards/hypocrisy and it is said that bothers me. Anyway, I think we aren't supposed to discuss issues with other boards here so I will stop.

Personal attacks from Gills is one of the primary reasons why I now post more on this board than the other one.  I haven't yet deleted like Kina just did because there are several posters with whom I interact with, but eventually, if they ever moved over here, I'd have no reason to post on the other board.

Right now, on the other board, there are those coming over here and reporting that "guess what, I see winds, and BA and Richard on that other board, yadda, yadda, yadda, so I don't feel too bad posting about another board.  It seems to go both ways.

I'm not sure what you mean here.  Is there a problem with mentioning other boards?  Or do you mean in a negative way?

I believe it is frowned upon by the moderators at both boards; however, given what I've seen at the other board, their moderators are looking the other way even though at least one poster has said, "enough already with bashing posters no longer on the board."

Way back when, there was a rule put in place about bringing drama from one board to another. I am acting under the impression the rule still exists. She is referencing my post that I will stop talking about it.

The original intent of the 'don't talk about the other board' edicts were to stop posters from carrying drama from one board over to the other, since many people are on more than one board.

TBH, I'm not putting it past certain posters from other boards to come here with the sole intent of stirring up drama with certain posters on this board who no longer post on other boards.  I think they miss the drama of following said posters from thread to thread just so they can stir up trouble.  (Rather than, you know, put the posters they don't like on ignore, which is what I would do if there was a poster whose posts repeatedly annoyed me.)  Wasn't there once a rule about not bringing up stuff from past threads into a current thread and not following posters from thread to thread with the intent of starting trouble, or am I just imagining this?

I sound like I have a low opinion of humanity, but really, no it's just certain elements of humanity and only because of their past behaviors.

I have a low opinion of majority of humanity based on working in retail environments. I have been told my view is skewed. I am not so sure. I think I see the real side of people when they feel they can treat those in retail like **** but act differently with friends and family.

Yeah, I was actually told I should get out more. nah, I think my evaluation is pretty spot on. There are a lot of people who let their true personalities come out towards those with jobs "they pay for". Sorry, when you frequent my place of employment, that does not actually make you my boss and give you the right to treat me like the dirt under your shoe.

Unfortunately, some people have that same attitude because they "own" a message board.disbelief

No, that rule no longer exists.  I only enacted it because there was a small group of posters determined to use this board to bitch about the other one and I didn't want that crap here.  There is no Us Vs. Them and yes, you can discuss other boards.

I think once a poster is banned for the board they should delete that person's account and tell people no more talk about said poster. It is rude and classless to bash someone who cannot defend themselves. Now that they have made the board unreadable for people without accounts not only can I not defend myself but I cannot even read what they are saying about me should I feel the need to.

But as I said before I feel like Eminem because obviously "It feels so empty, without me" otherwise why are they still talking about me?

I have worked retail too or customer service and yes, like you, my opinion of humanity in general took a nosedive about that time. Ha!

ps I just want to thank everyone on this board for being nice to me and welcoming me here. I like this board better already! I feel loved and supported right now that people don't think it is right for them to be bashing people over there that don't even post there anymore and can't defend themselves. Its rude.

Seems like they are losing all the nice posters to this board or just in general. I did not really wanna post there anymore anyway because all the nice posters seem to have left.
