I've been invited to my friend's granddaughter's second birthday party. It should be fun even though it's a toddler party, because I've been friends with her family for many years.  Several of you have little ones about that age or at least they were in the not to distant past.  What looks the most fun to you?

A puzzle with letters spelling her name. This one is made in the USA.www001.jpg

I had one of these and really liked it when I was little. Now it is called the "Retro Teaching Clock".  sb021.jpg

Or was there something your child just loved?

My grandson is almost two. He would love the monster bowling. Kids those age are extremely active, the bowling will keep her busy lining the monsters up, knocking them down, chasing the ball and lining them up again. Plus I think it's a game she won't age out of as quickly.

That's a good point, Winds. I wondered if the blocks might not hold her interest for more than a few months and she might already have something very similar.

I have to agree with winds, the more active the actual "play" with the toy (or whatever), the better.

Monster bowling looks fun!

In my experience, 2 year olds don't really play with puzzles.

As a mom of a 19 month old I can tell you that I'd love any of those!
But I also agree with winds the bowling would be more entertaining for the kiddo.

You've already made up your mind, but I'd suggest books. AB loves them!

That is a good idea too. Her mom is an avid reader and her dad is a college professor, so they probably read to her a lot.

Yes, I'd choose a board book for a toddler!

All of those are good. I like personalized gifts so I say the puzzle.
