Great books for children

Our county has the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program set up.  All children, ages birth to five, are eligible for a free book a month, regardless of income.  I didn't get AB signed up until he was almost a year old, but I am glad I did!  This month's book is hilarious!  It's Read to Tiger by S.J. Fore and I just love it.  AB's not too interested in it yet, but I got a kick out of it!

Other great ones we've gotten:

I Know A Wee Piggy - Kim Norman

The Mine-o-saur - Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen

Llama Llama Red Pajama - Anna Dewdney

Yes that is a great charity. Our kids had it too.

Our favorite younger kid book series are the Llama Llama books
Berenstein bears
The Pigeon books like "Don't let the pigeon drive the bus"
The Elephant and Piggy books by the same guy that writes the Pigeon books
Dr Seuss

Oh, yeah! The If You Give A... books are great.

I bought one for AB recently called It's An Orange Aardvark! It teaches colors, but even if it was just a story, I'm sure you'll understand why I had to get it!
