Now that I may or may not have your attention, I was thinking this would be a good place to be able to just post whatever. If there is something you would like to share but doesn't really need it's own thread, then this is the place. Or just pop in and say "hi" to everyone here.

Good morning everybody!

Good morning. How are you today?

I am feeling allergies. The pollen count is supposed to go down soon. Hope it's true. My head aches slightly.

I am glad it is Friday. I have had nothing but computer issues all week and I still have one program that isn't working.

How are you?

Hey everyone. This is a great idea because sometimes I really do have something to say that is not worth it's own thread.

Allergies are kicking my butt this year. I swear the older I get the worse they are.....

I have heard that allergies are all around worse and earlier because of the weather patterns.

Great idea! I always have things that aren't worth their own thread.

Right now, it's a vent!

I'm getting really pissed at people who are getting all shirty with me for not knowing things. I'm freaking new!!!! I know I've been at the company for 15 years, but I've been at this job for less than 2 months. And it is a BIG job. I'm still learning new things every single day. There are still vendors that I will have to deal with that I haven't even talked to yet!

I'm getting tired of being treated like crap and not getting any slack for not knowing things I haven't been told yet.

Oh I'm having a happy Friday!

DH is peeling and cutting oranges for me (doctor said that I needed oranges for my intestinal slowness sorry for the TMI) and I always make a mess DH offered to do it for me and I'm happily munching on fresh and sweet oranges :D

That sounds lovely, Des.

I'm sorry you are annoyed, Safety. Being treated like that at work sucks. It's when others don't really understand the way things work and what people's jobs are that they get like that.

What a sweet hubby, Des.

But Safety, you are a mom and moms know everything no matter where they are.

It is starting to rain lightly here. The storm is coming through. If I can be convinced that it will stay nasty the rest of the day, I will close the store and take off for the day. Working 7 days a week gets old quickly and makes me want to take all of the time I can find.

I can pretend to be a weatherperson and say yes it will be yucky the rest of the day.

My coworker is humming. I hate it. I know it's just humming and harmless and she's not really doing anything wrong but for some reason it aggravates me so much...

Arrrrgh...what part of "it's past the deadline" don't you understand. Once it's gone to print there are no changes that can be made until the next printing. There now I feel better!

I am so ready to go home today. I am tired, tired, tired. Tossed and turned till 2am and then woke up bright eyed at 5:30 unable to go back to sleep.
Ugh. I really need a nap.

Thanks Safety, I found the baby on the internet and never changed him. He makes me smile (I assume baby is a he)

Cactus maybe you should start keeping a beat to the tune she is singing!

My former job was as a nanny. The MIL hummed non-stop. Not a tune. Just a hum. We (baby's mom and I) called her The Hummer.

And laughed even harder when we found out what a hummer was. (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hummer)

Sadly it turned out kind of nice.  Rain went through in about 15 mins with a cold front and it is nice out.  I was hoping to leave early and go visit a FWB.  I could use some relaxation right now.

EmmDee - you need a day off!

Is there one day that isn't terribly busy when you could close down? Or let your employee handle it?

I'm only open 7 days for about 6 weeks, it will end my memorial day and then I will take a long weekend off.

Gotta do the mom brag. My oldest son is in JROTC in high school and was just promoted to Staff Sergeant. This is his first year and was so excited.

 That is awesome!!

Tweety was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant.  She said she's probably going to get promoted again at the awards ceremony in May, but she doesn't want to be because she likes being called "Gunny".

That's funny. Tell her that she can take the title with her.

Which ROTC is he in? (What military branch?)

Tweety is in the Marine Corps JROTC.

She's actually going on a camping trip this weekend with the group.

She was supposed to leave straight after school, but with the rain they are delaying it until 5:30am tomorrow morning. So she's spending the night with another cadet and they'll both catch the bus tomorrow.

I can't believe how close to the end of the year it is!!!

That sounds like fun! He is in the Army one. Which is good because that is the military branch he wants to go into after high school.

Both of my nieces were in the Army ROTC.  They really enjoyed it.

How do you feel about DS going in to military?

My oldest daughter is taking my middle daughter to an admitted students weekend in Massachusetts.

I am hyperventilating at the idea of her leaving for college in the fall.

You'd think I'd be used to this by now, but you'd be wrong.

Ha, I should have asked FWB where he gets his.  He also tried to convince me that I should get high with him for the first time last night, you know, since it was 4/20 and all.  I laughed at him.  And no, I did not.

Ooooooh PLEASE ASK HIM EmmDee! Please please.

I feel like utter crap today and wish that it wasn't Tai Chi in the park day, rather stay in bed. I feel actually sick sick, but its always so hard to figure out if its germ sick or a flare up until it really gets going.

And I feel kinda bad for being lazy about my pot luck dish.. pre cut veggie tray, pre cut watermelon.

But I did finally find my blue tshirt this morning, tore apart my entire closet and dresser. It was on the dryer, under a pile of 'stuff'. Poor Lucy was being blamed til I found it lol.
