Totino's pizza rolls commercial was just on. Two kids were on the phone with their mom looking for something to eat while in the fridge. On the same shelf (presuming fridge, not freezer) you see carrot sticks in a container, ice cream carton and the Totino's pizza rolls bag. Did no one see the issue with all of these items being together? Unless you freeze your carrot sticks I guess.
Also, last night I was watching tv with a friend and a Sonic commercial came on that he thought was hilarious. I wasn't even listening so I missed it. Friend told me, yeah, you were probably looking to see if the cherries were straight on the shakes. Noooooo, that's not what I was doing, I was looking at the mountain of whipped cream that a) you don't get when you order it and b) looked gross to me.
What details catch your attention that you just miss the rest of what is going on?
You don't get a mountain of whipped cream on your Sonic shakes? We do.
I never noticed that on the Totino's commercial, probably because I was too busy being annoyed with the kids getting told precisely where to look. It reminds me way too much of my DH.

Like 3-4" above the cup? I think I have only ordered shakes from there once and don't remember that.
Sometimes I watch live tv. Even sometimes when I am watching it from the dvr I forget to fast forward through the commercials. Does TiVo get rid of them all together or do you have to fast forward?

I usually fast forward commercials too. It's pretty rare that I watch live TV, though it happens.
DH and I like to laugh at the kids and say things like "When I was your age, the remote wouldn't fast forward commercials. You just had to sit there flipping through the channels. And we didn't have 300 channels like you have now. We just had about 80!"
I have to fast forward with TiVo too. DBF usually does it for me since he MUST have the remote when we are watching tv. With a live show I usually wait 10 minutes before I start watching.

The details that bother me most in commercials are when they show how "hard" it is to do the same job... either without their product or with a competing product... and they show how "hard" is is by doing it improperly without their product, then doing it properly with their product.

We were watching a new VW commercial last night. It's the one that shows how the doors close with a solid 'thunk', by the doors closing hard enough to shake loose all kinds of toys/balls from the tree it's parked under. At the end you hear "mrrreow" and a kitty lands on the roof.
I laughed and told DH to next time park the VW there, when he gets his remote controled plane stuck in a tree again. Last time he cut down the whole tree.
I hate ads that show people smiling while they are using some sort of exercise equipment like a treadmill etc. Nobody looks that happy when they are exercising.

Not that I ever have periods... but... is there such a thing as a "happy period"? I know there's some feminine products that advertise that if you use their product "you'll have a happy period".
