It was interesting -- and I hope, promising. Several of the recruiters said, "OMG, you're an admin?? With a clearance?!?!" Then not only got the hard copy of my resume, but handed me cards so I can e-mail it to them as well.
Then, just on impulse since I was close by, I called a former co-worker. She said "Come over!! I want to see you!!!" That would have made it worth the drive! We chatted for almost an hour, I also saw the GM (knew him when I was working there too), then she asked me for my resume too. She has a friend who's a recruiter.
Before I got home, the GM called to say he has a friend in a company that's looking for an admin, be sure to use him for a referral.
