I have an appointment with VEC tomorrow (VA Employment Commission) for a 'counseling session.' Resume and list of recent contacts to be brought along. So, I sat down with my messy notebook and created a document of all my contacts for the last month. This is readable! I may take the messy notebook (including the tea stains where Katy knocked my glass over) just to show them. Plus printed out all the e-mail responses I've gotten. I just need to put it in slightly better order -- it's all in a pile.
This weekend is Baronial Birthday and Investiture. The canton I'm in (subgroup of the barony) is due to pay our 'taxes' to the barony. We did a bunch of embroidered/beaded favors for baronial awards. I finished those (stitched the edges, pressed them, braid on some, tassels on others) last night. Must remember to take pictures of them......
And last, but not least, I have pulled together several things for the A&S competition at the event -- the Baronial A&S minister specifically asked me to enter it. Ack!! I haven't done anything in ages! So, I have a few 'old' projects (two book covers, a basket, some jewelry) and am putting in my half finished sleeve as a work-in-progress.
I, personally, don't do metal-working. I don't have the facilities to do it, but I know people who do. But yes, A&S includes metal-working. Everything from blacksmithing to pewter-casting to jewelry castings to armor and blade making.
