I lied to the boss and told her I couldn't stay late today because I have an appointment. What I didn't tell her is that it is an appointment with a bottle of wine and the girls coming over for girls night.

DH and I are going to a surprise 50th birthday party tomorrow afternoon for the wife of a friend of DH's since high school.
She's nice enough but she's one of those people who I would classify as a pathological liar (her and her youngest daughter) - they make stuff up as they go along and you know it. And they're not consistant with their lies, so it's easy to catch them in one.

Basically we are going because of her husband.

But what is really annoying me is - her daughters are the ones who are throwing this party and they sent me a message on facebook asking if I could make something. "Mom usually does this stuff, but we obviously can't ask her and we are struggling to get everything done."

So I said okay (I decided to just buy a fruit tray) but I'm PI$$ED at myself for agreeing to it. I don't feel the birthday girl deserves it.

 Sounds legit to me.

When I go to the botox clinic, I put it down as sick leave.

I don't even know how to put this without sounding psycho but I wanted to inflict real pain on my friend today for slighting me. I mean real pain like yank her head back and puch her in the face pain.

I think she may have seen something in my face because she quit the scene while I was contemplating it.

And now a question.... if you were going to punch someone in the face, would you grab their hair with your right hand and punch with your left?

Cuz my right hand was itching to grab first but I'm right handed so my instinct was to punch with the right as well.

I don't think a left handed punch would have given me enough satisfaction.

muscle confusion

I am right handed too. I shut my eyes and imagined this scenario. I think I would grab/hold with both, get a good grip, release with right hand and use it to punch. I feel a little bad about how easily I figured this out lol.

My confession is, I would like it if everyone just left for a week or so. I would love to have some alone time. My youngest is having a mommy day and as much as I like holding/cuddling with her I have things that have to get done today.

I would have grabbed her hair with two hands and smashed her face into my knee but I am ambidextrous...lol

Bwahahahah Kap! Thanks for making me laugh. My psycho tendency doesn't seem so bad compared to yours lol!

Mom o', I think that's what I would have to do if I ever did punch someone in the face. In my fantasy it seemed much smoother to yank her head back and then punch but in reality it probably wouldn't have been that smooth.

It'd have looked just as crazy as it was...... I'm laughing so hard right now it hurts! Tears!

-Dq, I can't believe how dumb you are.
- aaaarrgggh grab hair with both hands then start punching face
-everyone else screaming and panicking yelling 'What the HELL!'

get her, stop her she's gone crazy...
Some running for their cars others reaching for their phones....to get video evidence cuz no one would ever believe it.

Did you hear Dq went mad?! Noooooo I don't believe you.

Yeah we all went to Mexican and she was so happy and telling us the good news then in the parking lot Marge said something snide and Dq just attacked her. Here, I've got video.

Bwbahahaha!

Ooooh, wow this was great. Can we do this every week?
Confession is good. Next time I see this particular girl I'm going to be laughing so hard inside.

Hmm, I usually get the urge to only slap. Don't know if my punch would carry much *bang*.

You know, this was my first thought. Grab head with both hands, bring up knee, pull head to meet it or a conveniently placed coffee/end table. Then I remembered she said punch lol. Uh, Kapper, you don't think this means we're crazy do you?

This is totally what was going through my mind Emm!

Slap equals humiliation
Punch equals inflict pain
Bang head into knee or counter equals gone all the way around the bend.  LOL!

I don't think I'd be effective at just reaching up and giving a good hard punch.  Without my other hand as a guide I think I'd mostly miss and end up punching her in the ear or something like on Fight Club.  That scene cracks me up because it's so true. aww You can tell a wussy who doens't know how to land a solid punch.  That would be me.

I wish I could have seen the look on my own face as my all this went through my mind.  I wonder if my right hand was alternately balling into a fist and a claw as my body tried to decide which to do first grab or punch.

I'm pretty sure I am but I wouldn't presume to say you were. I'll let you have the honor of announcing your craziness....

Never mind Kapper. We've both gone all the way around the bend. It's ok, at least we have each other for company lol.

You gals are funny.

So I have a late confession. For the most part, I do not like my female customers.

It is common for them to come in with incorrect information and then when I try to correct them they get attitudes. This morning I had a lady come in looking for a certain mulch. It is not common in this are as there is not a surplus of those trees here to give it a dedicated mulch. It is more common in the Houston area and you may be able to find it places bagged but most likely not bulk because it is not a local product. We have 5 local large companies that make mulch, we do not need to ship mulch in from 4 hours away.

Conversation continues, I tell her hardwood mulch is most common here. "Oh, I don't want that, they add other stuff to it and it stinks." Ummm...I have visited the facilities of three of the companies, there is nothing "added". I asked her, "what do you mean? There shouldn't be anything other than local hardwoods that have been ground and decomposed." She says "I don't know, but I KNOW it has something else and is gross."

I really wanted to hit my head on my desk, it is fine, insist that a product is available here while I know I have seen my competitors' price lists and they don't have, insist that you know more about the product I carry than I do. You know EVERYTHING. Heck, maybe I should turn my business over to you.

Sorry my confession turned into a vent.
