My grandson called to tell me I was a genius. He was so happy I got him a guitar for his bday and he wanted one so badly. He didn't know his mom had told me that's what he really wanted.

The building I work in has a daycare upstairs (my DS went there from seven weeks old to the day before kindergarten).

One of my co-workers has a daughter who is 6 1/2 months old, so I get to see her every day before she goes upstairs to daycare.

Well - that little girl makes my day every day. She's a "smiler" and seeing her toothless grin every morning just makes my whole day.

He just turned 8 and he had been playing with his dads guitar one day when I was there and he was actually pretty good about playing the chords he had learned. He doesn't know I gave them the money for him to get lessons but he is on cloud 9 and is going to write me a song ("Once I know how to Gram"...)

FRAED, smiley babies are just the best!

How Lucy (froot's cat) adores Tabbi (my cat) makes me smile. I spent the night away on Wednesday night. Froot put Tabbi into my room for night time so Tabbi wouldn't keep her awake meowing for me. Come morning, Froot is look for Lucy. Lucy is spread out in front of my bedroom door waiting for Tabbi's release.

I'm melting with this posts, really, this is all so sweet!!

My happy for the day is that DH drove me to work, is raining really hard in here and I don't enjoy driving in the rain. DH knows that so he offered to drive me here. Also I didn't got too wet at all :D.

My boss is leaving for the day at noon. I am thinking of sliding out shortly thereafter.

I'd like to know how you guys got Lucy and Tabbi to be best buds so fast. Cats often take a LOONNNGGG time to warm up to other cats. It would make me very happy if all of mine would get along

To be fair, I think Lucy is a bit more in love with Tabbi than Tabbi is with him. Tabbi definitely seeks out Lucy but not NEARLY as much as Lucy does Tabbi. I can't say we really did anything special. The first few days they were kept apart by a baby gate at my doorway. They chase each other in play. Sometimes you can see that Tabbi (the older of the two) definitely wants the eager baby brother to leave her alone but she will follow him around too. I think we are fortunate that they have gotten along so well. I think it helps that they each have their own human still so it isn't like they are competing for affection, however, you can definitely tell they try to impress each other.

Oh, new happy. I love that I have a job where I can grill up a steak for lunch. With all of the frustrations, I can not imagine being anywhere else today.

Anytime I wear a dress, DS tells me I look like a princess and that I'm "cute-iful!" Makes my heart melt.

My 2nd daughter used to grab my face between her palms and look me in my face and tell me 'Mommy I lah you. You so pitiful'

I never corrected her once. I was almost sad when she learned the correct way of saying it.
She also used to call pre-school -- pretty school.

I LOVE stories about how kids pronounce/d words!
Last week I reminded DS (now 13) how he used to say certain things:
pretzels (his favorite snack) were prettoos
soda (a rare treat) was deeah
and he used to tell me - as he would hold his arms out to me to be picked up - "mommy, I want to hold you".
Now I'm lucky if he grunts at me half the time.

And your post made me a bit puzzled, but I do know why.

My current happy: it seems at least one of the new medications is working! I've Sjogrens and had no idea there was medication to help, having spit is a good thing!

Awww, I have to say I am rather touched that my special friendship with a great person made someone gag. For someone to care so much to actually have a physical response to something read on a message board that had nothing to do with them is quite flattering. Never thought id have that kind of impact. *blushes*
