Hey. Could you all send positive thoughts or prayers her way please? She said to go ahead and post:
Tonight around 8:30 while in the kitchen she went down, hard. Hit her head on the sink then the wall then the tile floor. I think she had a small seizure? Right afterward she was very disoriented and a bit combative. EMTs took her to the ER and she ended up with a spinal puncture, gotta say she was way braver than I'd have been. I'd have been running down the road trailing IV lines.
We don't know whats wrong yet but any positive thoughts would be welcome.
I'm still alive. Waiting on results from EEG. Waiting on having an MRI. Getting some of my memory back. Still completely missing 8 hours of last night.
Sending warm hugs and healing thoughts. Fingers crossed it is something minor. My dad had an episode like this one hot summer. It has never been repeated.
I'm so glad to hear that you're home and recuperating. Head injuries are so scary. Loss of memory is only funny in movies. Scarrier than all get out in real life {{hugs}}
Now excuse me while I run and google pcos
eta: oh that doesn't sound good but if there's a bright side at least they KNOW what it is. I always feel bettr when I know and I can takes steps towards my well being.

Last word I saw over on Zetaboard was that it WASN'T seizures, she has a "female organs problem" that caused the abdominal pain, it's something treatable.

Hey guys. I was diagnosed with PCOS. Nothing wrong with my brain. The pain from the PCOS caused me to double over, hit my head a few times and all of the loss of memory/confusion issues. I am back home, got home last night. Having to take things a bit slow still but I am slowly getting back to normal.
honestly, PCOS answers so many "mysteries" for me. I have had many of these symptoms for over a decade but never got a diagnosis. I have been to the doctor at least 4 times specifically for these symptoms and never got a diagnosis. If a few knocks to the head and loss of memory get this stuff under control for me, I consider it worth it.
While PCOS looks serious and must be very unpleasant to have had for so long, it must be some relief to know that it is not a brain tumor or epilepsy. I'm glad you found out what it is and can start treating that disease.
