I know this is just doing my job and some may not see why it would make me feel honored but I just got a wonderful stone order to do. It is a gift from a husband to his wife for their anniversary. He brought me the hand prints of the parents and all six children to put into stone. Their oldest is going of to college this fall so this is the last month they will all be under the same roof so he wants to capture that. Just seems like such a cool stone to make for him. I know I am way under charging him for it but I am still excited.
What things have made you feel special/honored that are unexpected?
Cool order, EmmDee. I bet this is the sort of thing that gets around by word of mouth.
I have identical twin nieces who are now adults with families of their own. We had a family reuinion in Seaside Oregon last month where there were 13 of us. One niece and I went out for a smoke and she told me that she and her sister always looked up to my older sister and me because we were independent women with careers and got around by ourselves. My sister didn't even drive and got her groceries by bus or had them delivered.
Maybe other people have looked up to me in my life but this is the first time anyone ever told me.
I love that it is going to be a surprise. She is a teacher and mentioned that she wishes she had a name plate for her desk. He came in first thing this morning to ask if I could make her one today for her to have at her open house tomorrow night.
Or all those hand prints could be "stop" or maybe "talk to the hand" but I'm kidding. It is a very touching gift. Most husbands are that good at picking gifts, although I know a few who are good at it.

LOL, nice touch Bessie although the rules have changed and you can mention it now.
There was a rule that said we weren't allowed to mention other boards?!?
Is that what the rule change on 8/20 was talking about?
That rule reminds me of this joke:
A man arrives at the gates of heaven. St. Peter asks, "Religion?" The man says, "Methodist." St. Peter looks down his list, and says, "Go to room 24, but be very quiet as you pass room 8." Another man arrives at the gates of heaven. "Religion?" "Baptist." "Go to room 18, but be very quiet as you pass room 8." A third man arrives at the gates. "Religion?" "Jewish." "Go to room 11, but be very quiet as you pass room 8." The man says, "I can understand there being different rooms for different religions, but why must I be quiet when I pass room 8?" St. Peter tells him,
Spoiler
"Well the Jehovah's Witnesses are in room 8, and they think they're the only ones here.
Yeah, there was a rule saying basically to leave the drama of other boards on other boards. You could bring up a topic from another board but the board and it's drama should not be the topic.
