Got an e-mail this morning from a recruiter, talked to her, sent in an application & resume, got a call back an hour for an interview tomorrow morning.
Just got back. It went well. The guy in charge of the program is a no-nonsense, retired Navy yeoman. He liked it when I said I work best when they tell me what they want, if there is any particular process, then let me do the job. Don't hand-hold me and hover!
Now I just have to sit back and wait and hope to hear positively....
Funny note -- I took a lint roller with me, because there's always cat hair I can't see until I get out in daylight. OMG, good thing I did!! I stood in the parking lot and lint-rollered myself before I went im.
I have a contingent offer. They need to review my SF86 (the ginormous form you fill out for a clearance). I updated the sections that were out of date (like my current address) and faxed it back. Did a few more corrections and was able to scan those.
My paperwork is submitted and they hope to have an indoctrination date for me next week.
I am soooooo ready to get back to work!! The first week or two was OK, but now I'm bored out of my wits, worried about money (savings -- running low!) and while i love them to pieces, The Girls are very limited conversationalists.
