Share your plans for the Holiday Weekend

I reminded my husband that we were invited to a party this weekend.

His response, "Oh crap, why are they doing that again?"  I enjoy when my friends buy a couple gallons of pulled pork from a barbeque restaurant and a keg of beer then put up a tent in their backyard for a small band and invite everybody they know over. They do it about once a summer.  Just keeping my fingers crossed that the rain stops by Saturday afternoon.

What fun activities do you have for the weekend?

We don't have a holiday buuuuuut we are going to pick up some paint for the nursery and maybe to this little market that happens once a month that has all local products.

And I think that's it :D

My MIL is celbrating her 70th birthday. I'm boiling 3 dozen eggs. I think that's too many but we'll see.

Oh no, DMQ, if you are making deviled eggs they will go fast. Three dozen is a good amount if you will have lots of people there. Everybody loves them!

No holiday here either but this evening I am going to a crayfish party and Sunday I am going mushroom picking with a very good friend.

My aunt's coming up to stay for the weekend, plus we're going to a friend's picnic tomorrow. On Monday, we're hosting our church's monthly movie night, but since it's a holiday, we're having a potluck beforehand.

You were right.  I could have made six dozen and they still would have been gone.  We made absolute pigs of ourselves for four freaking days!  I probably put on five pounds in four days.

I hope you all enjoyed your time with your families   I had a particularly tough day right before mine all showed up so I was in a very loving and thankful mood.  I'm truly blessed.  I'm recharged and ready to get back to work.

My Mom cooked a giant batch of spaghetti and meatballs and the whole family came to Mafia House (my house has a name) for family dinner and to hang out by the lake. It was such a beautiful day. Monday was a lazy do nothing day and I enjoyed that very much.
