I have sent out the PM's and am going to put up the game thread but not start until tomorrow.  

 

I have doing something here that I haven't done before and haven't seen anybody else doo so am not sure how this is all going to play out.  We shall see!

 

Romeo and Juliet Mafia

In this game we have two teams with an an equal number on each team

The catch is you will only know your own team affiliation.  You will not know who your fellow team members are.

If we have an uneven number of players, we will also have a serial killer.

During Day Phase, we will have our usual lynching.

Night Phase will be a little different.  Each team member will independently PM the overlord with their choice of who to kill that night.  There will be a leader for each team and in the event of a tie, the leader will cast the deciding vote.  If both teams select the same person to die, no one will die that night.

The only PM’s allowed in the game are between the players and the overlord.

The ghosts will have a roll.  They can continue to “comment” during the day phase but their comments must be in the form of pictures.  No use of avatars.  They cannot vote.  


Special Roles

Good Cop and Bad Cop.  The usual will apply.  The cops will know they are cops but will not be told if they are Good Cop or Bad Cop.  That is for them to figure out. Each night phase each cop gets to ask the narrator about the affiliation of one other player.  Good Cop will be told the truth.  Bad Cop will be told a lie.  One cop will be on each team.

The Lawyer -- The Lawyer can stop 3 lynchings.  They have 15 minutes after the voting closes to decide if they want to stop the lynch.  Cannot save the same person 2 nights in a row.

The Witch -- The Witch has 3 potions. They will be told each night phase who is being killed and have the option to save just one of those being killed.  Cannot save the same person two nights in a row.

The Serial Killer -- Serial Killer will have two kills in the game.  If SK choses to kill the same person that one of the families is killing, that person will live.  The SK stands alone and wins the game if they are the last player left.

Holders of special roles are not allowed to divulge their roles during game play.


There will be a surprise twist as the end of the game approaches.

OK Kids!! I am going to go ahead and start the game.

As usual, it will start off with the death of the Overlord! Moi!

Lady Paint was wandering around Verona, just minding her own business and taking in the sights. Stopping at every bar she passed and knocking back a couple. So needless to say, Lady Paint was feeling no pain. At least not yet.

Lady Paint was sort of an oddity in Verona as she was loved and revered (you guys quit laughing) by both the Montegues and the Capulets, two very prominent families that were engaged in a long standing feud. But boy did they ever LOVE Lady Paint (again, no laughing!) I think it was the "special" brownies she sometimes made for them.

As Lady Paint staggered along, she was too far gone to notice the form that followed her, dodging from one doorway to another in order to escape detection. They didn't need to worry. Lady Paint would not have noticed if the USC Marching Band had been following her.

Soon the form melted away into the darkness and then reappeared ahead of Lady Paint. As she passed the opening to a side street, the form jumped out and grabbed her and hauled her back into the darkness.................................................

The next morning, Kapper, Safety and IAN were passing by when something made them turn down that side street and they stumbled across the body of Lady Paint. Stretched out on the ground, with a dagger through her throat!!

Accusations started to fly and soon Mischa, Katty and Cassady came running over. The Montagues were screaming at the Capulets and the Capulets were screaming at the Montegues. Accusing one another. They didn't know about the Serial Killer!!

So, now it is day time and time to figure out who is the dastardly Serial Killer that took Lady Paint's life and also who is your buddy and who is your enemy. And of course try to kill your enemy.

Let the lynching commence!!!

This should be fun.

I have some questions though.

Since we don't know who our teammates are, if we vote to kill one of our own, does it count? (Like if a majority of Montagues vote for another Montague, does the person they voted for die?)

Will the kills be announced showing which team killed each person? (i.e. Montagues killed Lady Paint, Capulets killed Safety, SK killed Alice?)

So...if we accidentally kill our team's cop, we don't really have any way of finding out who is on what team until we lynch/kill them?

A few questions:

There are going to be two deaths during the night phase, right?

Who is 2S?

Can someone convert the lynch time to CST for me? I'm an idiot when it comes to that stuff.

Yes, there will be two deaths if the M's and the C's don't select the same person to kill. Then there will be no deaths.

Plus, the Serial Killer has two deaths to dish out and those will be during night phase.

2S is TooSensitive.

I am on PDT so am two hours different from CDT. I believe that 7 PDT is 9 CDT.

Windows 7 can show multiple time zones with no extra widgets. I forget whether XP does that.
