So we're planning a trip to vienna/budapest/prague/romania. Has anyone been? What were your favorite things to see? If you haven't been, but have always wanted to go, what things do you most want to see?
Would love to go!!! Always wanted to see Vienna in the winter! Prague has an old synagogue I'd like to see (read about it in a book)--only one left standing after WWII (not sure if that was all of Europe or not, but still awesome!).
Old New Synagogue:
I did a report on Romania for my Natural Disasters class and found out they had mud volcanoes! Pretty cool!
I would love to go. I don't really have anything on my list to see. I just want to travel LOL. Almost anywhere sound exciting to me. Be sure to take lots of pictures to share with us!
Oooh - I was looking at pictures of the mud volcanoes yesterday - they look so neat! I just imagine it would be weird to come back after the trip and answer the whole "So, what all did you see?" with "Mud!!!"
I used to live in Vienna so I could probably go on forever : ) Since I don’t know what kinds of things you enjoy, these are just a few mixed suggestions: Schloss Schönbrunn, the Freud Museum, the Secession, the Belvedere, the Spanish Riding School, the Stephansdom. Go to Grinzing for some typical Austrian socializing, drink a Viertel of wine and watch the locals.
