Of all the "real" people (not counting the South Park and Simpsons characters) I know the ones that I knew from their work on OTHER shows (except "John Reese" played by Jim Caviezel... I watch "Person of Interest, it's actually a good show).

This list is terrible! It's largely characters from the last decade.

Uh, yeah, totally agree. The character I immediately thought should be on the list was Hawkeye from MASH, but he's nowhere to be found! I went through it quickly but didn't see any older shows represented. What about Archie Bunker? JJ from Good Times? Fred Sanford? MacGuyver? JR Ewing? Kramer? Fonzie? I could go on and on...
There are like, what, 10 shows represented? I think the writer was super lazy, picked his/her fav shows and listed characters.
I actually haven't watched Game of Thrones, b/c the books were so brutal I had to stop reading them. But I am so pleased that there is an interesting little person character on TV now! The last serious little person roll I can think of was "Willow." I'm sure there have been others, but that's the only one I can think of.
Wow, I don't even watch tv regularly but I could think of lots of great characters. I don't have cable so haven't seen some of the shows, but was it just me or did they include most of the cast of like 4 shows and call it a day?
No Maxwell Smart even?
Hawkeye Pierce?
Lucy Ricardo?
Dr. Who?
Roy, Moss, or Jen?
Anyone from Firefly?
I am not sure I saw the same list-the link didn't work so I had to search for it-but I agree it's bad and in a predictable way-very recent stuff way overrepresented.
The premise of 'best of" lists seems kind of dumb but they can sometimes contain interesting or original discussion, knowledge or opinions. This one doesn't. It doesn't have much variety and doesn't suggest great knowledge or wide ranging taste on the part of its creator.
