Seriously? How is it Labor Day weekend? I swear we just got back from North Carolina (which was June 1st). June actually took it's time and we enjoyed it, but it seems like once July 4th hit, the calendar took off!
July was the busiest, with doctor's appointments, family outings, VBS, the TOTALLY AWESOME PEEP WEEKEND, and who knows what else. August wasn't as busy with things, just a few outings, but we did lose my grandmother a few weeks ago.
PM goes back to school on the 8th and I'm kind of looking forward to the alone time with AB. I just can't believe that we're a month away from his second birthday!
I'm getting old.

I only made it to the beach once (Daytrip to Rhode Island), but it was w/Koira Sioux so it was nice. She had her first ocean beach experience; having only been to the Long Island Sound, she literally didn't know what a wave was until one hit her. Later, we shared a lobster roll and french fries. It was a gorgeous sunny day. Perfect beach weather.
We're hoping to go back in the Fall before it gets too cold.
I'm so envious of anyone who got to take a proper vacation this summer. Having just started a new job in April, I won't get a paid vacation until October. (Sigh)
It's been a crazy summer, and not so much in a good way, so I'm glad it's almost over. Although now I have to get used to cooking dinner all the time again. We eat at camp almost all summer long.
DH has been incapacitated in one way or another pretty much all summer, and stubborn about it, which draws it out longer. Add the dogs health issues and a lot of family drama, and I'm up to my limit of personal drama for this year.
I think I'm just worn down. I'm usually much more positive than this. We just got back from a short vacation, but it didn't really feel like vacation for me, so it didn't help much. :/ I was really hoping I'd feel better by the end of it. And nothing got done at work while I was gone, even though I left a list of 5 urgent, must-be-done things.
Maybe our break at Christmas will be more helpful.

Hope ypu can get a "real" vacation, soon, even if it's ony an adternoon at the day spa. Everyone needs an opportunity to"re-charge their batteries."
