There's a lady across from me at Starbucks who is sitting with 4 of her friends. Great night out, right?
Except she brought her two year old. And he is NOT contained, in any shape or form. He's running all over the place, trying to leave at both ends of the store (one side opens up to the HIGHWAY, running up to other customers, dancing all over, and being loud. I don't blame the kid, I'm blaming the mom. She glances his way every once in a while, and when he gets all the way to the other end of the store she sometimes goes and gets him. But then puts him down again. Seriously, he's at the other end right now where she can't see him, but she got up to see what he was doing and then sat back down.
Not amused. Kind of betting on how long it will be before he's successful in making his escape.
I KNOW my kids are a handful, that's why I don't bring them to places like this! Especially with NOTHING to do. Oy.
Well, the barista has given him a whipped cream and caramel concoction, which he's tried to feed to other people by shoving his fingers in their faces.
And he almost made it out the side that opens to the highway. Someone else caught him.
I'd be very tempted to yell out "Will the adult that belongs to this child please contain him before he causes an accident!". And parents wonder why some restarants want to ban children under a certain. Age. Actually, it's parents who don't wish to be responsible for their children's whereabouts who need to be banned from public places.
