We are spending one of the holidays on our own, maybe we'll have friends and/or my sister over, but I want to make something really yummy for us to eat. I also want it to be something that I can give to LO.
It just occurred to me that I could make something like a mini Thanksgiving dinner for us...
I have no clue. A lot depends on if my niece from California can make it. Then we go from needing somethings gluten-free to gluten-free, and watching allergies: tree nuts, dairy, seafood, and fruits with pits. Makes desserts (my specialty) quite a challenge.
I usually put a little turkey breast in the crockpot, make mashed potatoes and gravy, some kind of veggie, and biscuits. For dessert, I like an apple pie.
For Christmas, I usually make a small ham, lazy pierogies, and biscuits. There are generally cookies on hand, too, with cake or pie.

Winds that's a LOT of allergies :S maybe gluten free cupcakes? with almond or coconut milk instead of regular milk.
Aard I knew you were going to say that lol! I'm good with ham and DH doesn't really like turkey, also one thing I want to make is mashed yams or pumpkin, we had them at my sister's wedding and DH loved them.
A pie would be great too, I love cherry pie and we can't find it here so I might do that or I might buy an apple pie from costco.
