So I bought some Halloween candy on sale (fun-size chocolate bars mostly) with the idea of using them at a party in December. What would be the best way of storing them until then? Fridge? Will they get those weird pale spots then? I'm worried that they will become all melty if they are kept at room temperature.

They will 'bloom' if you put them in the fridge. How warm do you keep your house? Room temperature is usually okay, just out of the sunlight and away from heat sources, so not in the cupboard next to the stove or chimney.

I can't find chocolate on sale - my son said Walmart has started buying the fun-size bars in generic, non-holiday wrappers, so they don't have to mark it down. Didn't check Target though.

A cool (but not refrigerated) dark place is best for chocolate.

I thought this thread was going to be about how much candy your kids got and how much did you take from them...

PM and I took all of AB's, except for the lollipops. He didn't get a whole lot, though, since he can't eat it. It doesn't feel right to take it from those handing it out.

The house is at about 70 but that varies a bit (I'm in CA). The candy is now in the closet in the guest room - I keep that nice and cold ; )
