Our church hosts Dinner with Santa every year. I got AB all gussied up on Saturday and schlepped him next door to get his picture taken. I had to take multiple shots, between the lighting not being ideal and the fact that toddlers squirm a LOT. My camera notifies me that I'm out of room on my memory card. I was able to clear a few pictures off so I could get a family shot, then put the camera away and promptly forgot about my full card.
Fast forward to Sunday evening. We're exchanging gifts with Aunt Awesome, as she won't be able to join us for the holidays. I whip out the camera, turn it on and get "no room on memory card!" Cue some muttered cursing, a dash to my bedroom to retrieve the back-up card, and as soon as I swap cards, I get ""no room on memory card!" Luckily, everything on the back-up card has been backed up to disc, so I'm deleting willy-nilly just so I can capture AB opening what I know is a cool drum set.
I've got space on the card, AB is sitting oh-so-adorably on a gift, I press the shutter release and...my batteries died. I fly back down the hallway, yank the charger out of the socket, and hastily swap out my dead AAs for fresh. Let's try this again!
