In case you're going to but haven't but think you might, I'm spoilering.
Spoiler
For the first two episodes, I was firmly in Nick's corner. Last night has me inching over towards Mondo. (It would take a minor miracle to EVER get me to root for Anya, she of the flowy caftans). Nick's micromanaging made me want to reach through the monitor a SMACK him upside the head!
I saw a few ads for it, but couldn't get excited about it. Fashion type shows don't really "do it" for me. I hope those that like fashion type shows enjoy it though!

I agree with you about Nick. I think that's kind of why designers weren't picking him--afraid he'd be to teacher-ish. I think Mondo will make the best mentor, ie, encouraging people to stretch themselves creatively.
Oddly enough, I didn't really care for Mondo in his seasons, I think he was in two. He was always so...filled with angst.
I'm not particularly into fashion either, but I enjoy watching the process, the creativity, and what they end up with. There's also a reasonable amount of drama (not TOO much, but enough to be interesting.) I usually like the designs that lose, they tend to be the ones that aren't really new or creative, but rack-ready.
