I do like raw onions.
Around here we add them and diced tomatoes to hot dogs.
Also we add diced raw onion to tacos al pastor, and I personally like to put raw onion rings in my chilaquiles. Some people add raw onion rings to hamburgers.
Yes I like raw onions yuuuuuuuuuuuuum
Oh I just remembered I have a cw that says that he likes to eat them as if they were apples.
I do not like them raw, nor do they like me. They're not a fan of me even when they're cooked nice and soft, but I do like the flavor, so I insist on eating them, then pray they're nice to me.

I DETEST raw onions. In most cases I'm not even a big fan of them cooked. But on some things... you just GOTTA have them or it doesn't taste right. Like a good Cheese Steak sandwich.

It's not that don't like them, as much as if I eat them, no matter how hard I brush or gargle, that taste stays in my mouth forever. I actually like the way they taste on vegeburgers, etc., but don't like that the taste does not go away.
I used to hate raw onions but now I love them. DH only likes them if they are cooked to death so often I won't go through the trouble to chop up raw for myself.
Raw onions, not so much. Cooked, depends on what it's with. Overnight, I filled the 7 qt crock pot with 5 lbs of sweet onions to make a caramelized onion base that can be turned into soup or onion dip or steak/sandwich topper or anything else you add them to. Now I have lots of yummy caramelized onions.

That sounds delicious! Do you have to add any liquid or butter to keep them from burning at first? High, medium, or low heat?
I like a little raw onion on hamburgers. I love onion rings and onion 'blossoms', but my stomach doesn't always like me afterwards.
Still mostly on a cooking ban trying to make room in the freezers for pierogi weekend (two weeks). But I did slow cook 5 lbs of onions to caramelize them. They will be used as sandwich/steak toppers as well as a base for french onion soup.
Easy recipe
5 lbs onions sliced drizzle of olive oil 2 tbls butter 2-3 boullion cubes (I use a beef base that is paste-like) few good splashes of red wine few dashes of dill, italian seasonings and cracked pepper. Cook on low overnight 6-8 hours.
one thing i've done for those who don't much care for raw onions....slice red onions thin, and soak in white vinegar for about 15 minutes. blot dry and place on sandwiches. it takes a bit of the rawness out, but there's still some crunch.
