It was great! Mom, Sister and I had just gotten used to be angry, frustrated and miserable after every single big family event. Well, this time Cousin and CS weren't there and it was GREAT! Nephew could run around and play and Sister didn't have to be watching him constantly to make sure CS wasn't bullying him. We had out-of-state company visiting, so we had 4 kids under 5. And there was less whining, crying and squabbling than there is with just CS. Everybody ate the food. No kids cried during dinner. No, "Baby, just try a bite" "Baby, please eat" "Come on, just one bite".
It was WONDERFUL.
Once Cousin and CS move out, I think family dinners with them will simply no longer happen. Not sure what we're going to do about Christmas. Last Christmas was a sh!tshow, but to not invite them to Christmas would be a HUGE slap in the face.
I hope so! He probably wouldn't admit it if he did. When we were planning the dinner, his FIRST comment was, "Did you invite cousin?" (eyeroll) and what's so weird is that Cousin is my mom's bio niece, not his, and the out of town company visiting was his sister and his sister's daughter and grandchild.

But...but...but...where does that leave the Peeps? You know we must have our drama!
I know! And she's not the sort to post drama on FB, so I'll have no idea what's going on! I admit, I do kind of wish I could be a fly on the wall to watch the implosion.
