On Sunday Secrets today there is a postsecret about a false rape report. It says "That man didn't rape me....but he spent 10 years in prison."
I know on this board and the other board we have discussed false rape reports. I hate that women make false rape reports so that we then have to be skeptical when a women reports rape. Considering I know at least one women personally that admits to making a false rape accusation (luckily she never took it to the police just told people it happened and then later when I questioned her a bit about it got to the truth that it actually did not happen) I tend to be skeptical. Some women in their minds equate a guy begging and pressuring a bit =rape and that is not the same thing.
But, to the subject of the OP. I agree. I hate it that false reports get filed... especially since the default by the police and media is "instant guilt until proven innocent".
I also agree that "begging and pressuring" do not equal rape... but I'll go a few steps further... I don't believe in "Statutory Rape" either. I believe in "illegal under-age sexual conduct"... but if it's willing (even under false pretense and/or underage) it's not rape.
Another one... "I was too drunk... and wish I hadn't... so... it MUST be rape". No. Regret is not rape.
edited to clarify

I like postsecret. People send in postcards with their secrets on them and they get published in books or on his site. Some of them are very moving or touching. Some of them mirror my own feelings. Some of the art on them is very good.
