I haven't been around much lately, but life gets in the way sometimes.
I've been well, preparing for/celebrating/recovering from the holidays. I made my solo flute debut at a community Christmas concert, after not playing for nearly 10 years, and I did a pretty good job. PM's been down with a cold, but at least it happened during his school break, so he's been lounging around in his pj pants, enjoying his new Batman DVD set. (It's the 60's TV series).
As for AB, well, he's been having a blast and getting spoiled rotten! He got four or five gifts from church family, brought all sorts of treats home from his school friends and gifts from his teachers, some really cool stuff from aunts, uncles, and cousins, and probably more stuff from Nana (my mom) than everyone else combined. He was more interested in knocking the tree down, though, on Christmas morning, until we gave him one of the toys from PM and me. It's a backhoe that lights up and makes noise and after that, he didn't want to destroy anything or open anything else, just play with that. He did consent to opening 2 more gifts when he realized they were more cool trucks.
And for the first time since I moved into my own place, the decorations are down already. I normally leave them up until New Year's or even Russian Christmas, but my child was determined to climb the tree.

Between my cookie/candy making marathon, getting sick, and spending Titan's time off caring for him cause he came down sick it was ok.
Christmas dinner had me with my in laws, and the man sitting next to me at dinner was a gay Jew. We got along famously. :)
I did get a hell of a deal a couple days before Thanksgiving... Best Buy started their Black Friday deals Tues. They had Soda Stream machines for 20% off. Mom had sent me a $50 Best Buy gift card so I could buy one as my birthday present last year. I finally talked Titan into spending the money to pay for the rest because 20% off! I get there with a certain one in mind. I don't find it, but see one marked the price that one would have originally been. I get to the check out and it was marked correctly. :( I tell them what I was looking for and the price it was supposed to be so they go looking. They don't find it. The cashier talks to the manager, comes back to me, and tells me the manager ok'd me buying this machine at the price of the one I was looking for! That was about a $40 difference!
