I voted. Didn't watch the result shows, though. Too much projection based on exit polls and not enough actual numbers. At least the attack ads are over.
I was hoping the end of the election would end some of the nastiness, but it seems to be getting worse around here. It appears some think Trump's election mean it's OK to crawl out from under their rocks andd let their bigot flags fly high.
I voted (not for either of them though... I did a "write-in".
winds makes a very true statement... but... the people "crawl[ing] out from under their rocks" aren't JUST Trump supporters... Clinton's supporters are showing their nasty side as well.

The protests where I live haven't been nasty - there is real concern for the safety of minorities and concern about losing what progress in civil rights has been gained in the last 50 years. There's plenty of people suddenly proud of their racist, sexist, xenophobic talk and actions, though.
I was referring to the "not my President" riots across the country... places where damage is being caused and deaths are DIRECTLY attributable to the protesters' actions.
For what it's worth I'm not worried about Trump, himself, turning around the progress we've made... I'm worried about his Supreme Court nominees undoing things over the course of the next decade.
Why did the Democrats HAVE to run the only person in the entire country that Donald Trump was guaranteed to beat?

My point was Donald Trump only got elected because the other choice was Hillary Clinton. He's a direct result of the DNC running THE most corrupt woman ever in politics.
I agree with you about worry over his choices though... and now, with Trump as the victor, I hope for a good health for not only Donald (we REALLY don't want Pence in the Oval Office, picking Justices!), but also for all current Justices.
Truth be told, Supreme Court nominations are the only thing that make me wish that Hillary could have won. It's like they are both sides of the same bad penny.
Donald: Better than Hillary in every aspect EXCEPT likely Justices picks.
Hillary: Better than Donald in ONLY Justices picks and worse in every other aspect.
The question is: Which is the biggest danger to the country? That's all dependent on how many Justices get picked. If only the one, to replace Scalia... we're probably going to be okay. If several... we're screwed for decades.
