I discovered the clearance wall at Half-Price Books! I got several for $1 or $2. One of them was only 50 cents!

And I have added yet more books to the library. Darn close-out stores! I did find the Top Chef cookbooks for $7 each, though - a great bargain. Now I'm on the hunt for bookshelves.

Stay away from Half Price Books and Ollie's, as well, winds! Very dangerous places for bibliophiles!

I am still slogging through Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets by David Simon.  It's very interesting, but detailed on a Dickensian level, so it is sometimes a slow read.  I've read a few other things to give myself a break.

I'm leaving it at home and only taking fluff books on vacation next week.  We're going to the Outer Banks, so I'm taking a few chick lit novels by Susan Webb and Luanne Rice.  No thinking involved!

I finally finished Homicide last week! Hooray! It was a very good read, but it was just extremely detailed. I've also read the last two books of David Baldacci's Camel Club series, and The Hunger Games in the past weekish (maybe 2 weeks).
