Yet again, the caretakers were ousted from their beds at the crack of dawn when the animals started going berserk. “Oh no, not again!” groaned Moon-and-Star. “Poor tigerlily, I hope the veterinarian can help her again!” exclaimed Mischa as they quickly followed a stream of butterflies toward the Jabberwock’s den.

As the caretakers approached, they saw the Jabberwock comforting several distraught kittens, the rainbow phoenix perched on its head. Nearby, the jeweled tigers paced in agitation around tigerlily, who was bent over the top of something. Then the caretakers were astonished to see tigerlily stand up, alive, shaking her head sadly and revealing an odd sight. “I was just listening to see if her heart was beating,” tigerlily said. “It’s not.”

On the ground was uhuh, wearing a gigantic pink bowtie and tie-dye t-shirt with 27 vari-colored hair ties in her hair. She was tied up and had white twist ties around every finger like rings. But the gruesome thing was the necktie tied tightly around her throat. It seemed her penchant for ties finally caught up with her.

The Veterinarian rushes over and uses the last potion to save uhuh. As the red liquid revives her she looks around fully alive.

I reread the thread, made some notes, and have come to a conclusion. Tigerlily and uhuh must be townies, because why would the mafia try to off their own? I know that I am a townie myself, so that leaves 5 players with unknown affiliation.

I was going to hold off for that very reason. Not saying Mischa couldn't be mafia but that makes me wonder why she would have her kraken as part of the first write-up.

I'm not sure why aardvark changed her vote from Mischa to Alice. Alice was already in the lead...

The pile on is concerning me, but I don't know what to do. In the other game, a pileon resulted in a mafia lynch and the 2nd place person was also mafia.

eta: nevermind, it makes sense that she was lynched - somehow i forgot she was in 2nd place for lynching :P

Maybe I'm wrong, but if Alice is mafia, I'll be surprised (and probably next to go). Before I pointed out the potential for a mafia win, everyone had voted. At that time, only Tigerlily, Aardvark, and Alice were voting for someone other than Alice. That means at least 1 and probably at least 2 people (otherwise why wouldn't Alice side with Aardvark in voting for Mischa instead of voting for her) were voting for Alice. That leads me to believe mafia want Alice gone, which leads me to think she might be innocent after all. If that's what's happening, then all they have to do is keep their votes where they are and hope people don't switch. Or maybe Aardvark and Alice are both innocent and they don't care which goes. I know I'm still voting for Alice, but that's because I'm still thinking this through and don't know what to do yet.

ETA: Does this make sense or is there something I'm missing?

I did not know that. So, it would be more likely that the Mafia would want to cast suspicion on Mischa and make us vote for her, killing off one of our own.

the mafia most likely included both mafia and townies in their write up.

I usually don't bother using the writeup for anything other than entertainment, but others sometimes find 'clues' in them. It's up to you whether it 'sounds off' or not.
