The setting of our latest game is that beautiful land to the south of pretty much everybody, Australia.

Land of koalas, kangaroos and kookaburras.

We are on a guided tour of Australia but unfortunately some of the members of our tour are not what they appear. And that puts us in grave danger.

We begin our tour in beautiful Sydney, New South Wales and the tour members are assembling at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel on George Street to begin boarding the luxury buses that will carry them on their tour.

There will be twists and turns in this game and maybe even a surprise or two so be warned if you decide to play.

Once again we have a battle of the innocents against the mafia.

I work in the travel industry. I will never forget the man who discovered two weeks before his Australian vacation that he needed a passport to go to Australia. That blew my mind, I think I knew in elementary school that passports were required to travel internationally.

I am going to let the sign up thread run over the weekend to see if we can't get more players.

I will be pretty much off line all weekend as this weekend is being consumed with the move of our business office.

I plan on starting the game on Monday night.

So, let's get out there and recruit players.

I was real sad to see that AG has deleted. She will be missed.

I've been paged to come play.... I really want to, but I'm going to be off work all next week (I'll be subbing but not at my regular job) so I really won't be around much.

I think you should play if you want :) People have been missing votes in the last few games so it should be fine. (unless LP needs people to be here for each vote)

We always like fresh meat, ummm, new players.

Just a couple of suggestions. No eating of spaghetti or you are mafia. Don't talk too much, too little or even just enough because you are mafia.

Hi Guys, sorry that I did not get the game started last night. This office move had me so slammed and everything was so screwed up yesterday.

I was here until 9:00 last night with my phone guy and IT guy, trying to get stuff up and running.

Most everything is working but we still can't fax and don't have our server up and running.

With 12 players I am thinking 9 innocents and 3 mafia. I won't do a serial killer this time because I don't think there are enough people.

I will start the game this evening so if you can get anybody else to sign up, that would be great.

I have never played before so I am not quite sure how this works. I asked earlier and I heard a lot about what not to do (all contradictory by the way..haha) so could someone just explain the basic concepts of the game please?

If you want to look at the beginning of some of the previous games it will have a more detailed explanation that is general to most games. Here is a quick recap.

Day phase: vote to kill mafia. Do this by a RNG (random number generator), trying to discern clues from what has been said, gut feeling, etc.
Night phase: no strategizing.
Mafia and other special roles decide their action Mafia decide to kill one person, do a write-up and submit to narrator.
The nurse submits a name to save within the parameters set by the narrator. The cop can ask about one person. Any other special roles as defined by the narrator.

Otherwise just talk and have fun.
