Good morning kali. I wanted to sleep in a bit more but my cat is in sync with my alarm for weekdays and has not left me alone for the last hour.

Froot, you make me smile. I haven't been spending a lot of time with Tabbi lately so maybe she is trying to get whatever she can. Plus I spent Friday night away. She's getting feisty already.

Anyone have plans today?
Unfortunately, I think I'll be working most of the day.

My intent is to start organizing my second bedroom. My reality is that the room is overwhelmingly messy and that is compounded by Lucy going bonzo the moment he goes in there, getting into EVERYTHING.

I need to reorganize my entire apartment, organization is not my strong point. Okay its not any point in me lol. I live in constant disarray but that needs to change, just not sure where to even start!

I'm currently taking everything out of my bedroom and sorting it out in the 2nd bedroom. This is going to be a lengthy process.

LOL kali! That sounds like something I would say.

One of my kids this past Easter told me "Happy Zombie Jesus Day". I laughed and then slapped my hand over my mouth. That shouldn't be funny... but it is.

Morning Cactus. Great weekend for me. Went to the movies and out to dinner Saturday. Had a good time and great food and it had been a while since we had been to the movies so I quite enjoyed it. We went to see the new Disney "Chimpanzee" movie. It has totally cuteness factor all over it but it was short and sweet.

I'm glad to hear that, Kapper.

I had a good weekend too. A friend was visiting from out of town. We went to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden on Saturday. The cherry blossom festival is next weekend but the blossoms were already past peak when we were there, and that was before the chilly rain we've had since then which has probably made it worse. The trees were pretty green, with many petals on the ground. The azaleas and peonies were in great form though. It's too bad the blossoms might be mostly gone for the festival.

Then we went to Coney Island, were my friend had never been. I felt a bit bad for refusing the ride the Cyclone with her but last time I went on it my neck hurt for weeks afterward. I did go on the Wonder Wheel though-it was very windy up there!

I would like to see that movie Chimpanzee too.

I don't know if I would have ridden the Cyclone either. I did once a long time ago and I remember think it was going to rattle the teeth right out of my head. I do believe you can get whiplash from it too!

Yes, it's kind of painful. I've heard the same from others.

I am rather sleepy right now, and it doesn't seem like I should be.

I just laughed too so we can go sit in the corner together.

Someone in the office just made a stunningly annoying and indescribable noise, having already engaged in such signature sounds as joyful squealing, off key singing, and loud, mundane phone conversation.

My digital scale at home says I've lost 7.5 pounds since April 2nd.
Got on the old fashioned standing scale in the health club downstairs here at work and it says I didn't lose anything.

Fraed ~ Always use the same scale; it's the only way to keep accurate track as scales can be very different. Congrats on the lose!

 Thanks, Katty!
At first I was upset! LOL! But then I remembered that I "tested" the scale at home - I weighed myself, then picked up a 7 pound bag of cat litter - the scale went up 7 pounds - then I got back on it by myself & it was at the first weight.

So, I will go by my scale at home. I would feel a little better about it if my pants felt looser, but they don't - yet.

Yes, I could spork her right through our shared cubicle wall!

(I need a longer spork for the other loudmouth who sings, squeals etc)

Morning all. I'm worn out still, no surprise. I can't wait until memorial day weekend because I plan on making it a long weekend after working 7 days a week for about 6 weeks straight.

I'm worn out too! I spent almost 3 hours solid trying to organize my closet, its pretty big and there were tons of boxes I'd never gone through since I packed up in Michigan. Ugh. 90% is in my donate pile which is overflowing a wardrobe sized box lol.

Why do I have 11 bath robes?? ELEVEN!

Froot, I'm doing the same thing. I am starting a donate pile myself because there is so much I just do not need or use. How did you collect so many robes my dear?

I have no idea where they all came from, most I'd forgotten I owned because most are heavy duty Michigan winter robes.

It is really freaking hard to condense two big closets into one! Plus there is just general stuff in the second bedroom that I need to find space for. And somehow emptying out a kitchen cupboard n stuff.

Had no idea I owned so much crap lol. RR is hoping to come up Friday to help, I need shelves installed in my closet and I need about 12 boxes of books put into my car so they can go to the used bookstore.

Oh **** I forgot about the hall closet too. *whimper* Have to clean that out to make room too!

And I'm trying to figure out where I can put Lucys litterbox, he is one stinky poo kitty. Had thought my bathroom but that means: securing every single loose item in there including towels. Otherwise he will run rampant in there all night... noisily.

But a lot of this is stuff I'd put off, like the huge amount of still boxed up clothing that needed going through. So far today I've cleared out an entire wardrobe box of folded stuff, 3 regular sized boxes and 3 plastic boxes. still have 3 plastic boxes and all the crap on the top shelf of my closet to do. Won't get that closet done today thats for sure.

I figure I've about 20 hours of solid work.

oh sweetie, that seems like a lot of work and it makes me feel bad. It is crazy how much stuff a person can collect though. Also, this is not something that has a time frame. Breathe and relax.

I just pictured a little kid "Mommy whats a nipple clamp?".

Am I that out of touch? Is it really okay to have that on a broadcast channel just past the dinner hour? Sigh.

It's something you put on baby bottle rubber nipples to close them and keep them from leaking.

Yeah... that'll work as an explanation.

EmmDee, no guilt allowed. I'm finally unpacking stuff I haven't touched since I moved! Its been too easy to say "Oh.. I will get around to it.. ".

Gotta say I'm impressed with how much I got done today, I figure less than an hours work remains for my closet. Haha then on to the other rooms! I'm glad this is all getting done finally, I found clothes I didn't know I owned.

Along with 11 robes I have untold sets of Michigan winter pajamas.. I really don't need all those flannels.

Sorry to hear you are having insomnia kapper. Is there anything you can do that usually helps?
