That's right up the hill from where I work.


If I were the mother I would have taken a bat to the back of that guy's head.

They should have had treatment. I don't understand why the mother would refuse treatment - especially for her son.

SCRANTON - After a 9-year-old boy hit him with a water balloon Saturday, a 33-year-old Hill Section man pushed him to the ground and kicked him, police said.

Joe Mongeon, 33, 5 Oakwood Place, started the water balloon fight with the 9-year-old, witnesses told police, but became enraged when the child hit him with one.

Mr. Mongeon chased the child, and a witness said Mr. Mongeon pushed the child to the ground before kicking and stomping on him.

When the child's mother, Helen Flynn, intervened, Mr. Mongeon punched her in the face, according to the complaint. Both Ms. Flynn and her son later refused medical treatment.

Mr. Mongeon was charged with two counts each of simple assault and harassment. He was sent to Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail, which he posted Monday.

Idiot.

Sounds like the guy whose on-line game character got killed by a kid he knew. He went and beat up the kid.

Relly? If you all haven't learned to play nice, maybe you should only play with other immature jerks your own size.

They should have gone for medical treatment and charged him for the cost of it.
