My SIL told me that her cousin is a recruiter for a government contractor and maybe she'd be of some help in my job hunting. So we got in touch, sent her my resume and she sent me ONE job posting. Which was nothing I'm even remotely qualified for.
Turns out, she is NOT a recruiter, she works for this company in another capacity entirely.
Since then, she has asked me, almost daily, 'Just what kind of job are you looking for? What do you do?'
I suppose she's trying to help, but for the love of heaven, why do I have to tell her this again and again and again? Pay attention to what I'm saying and quit asking me the same damn dumb questions!! You've got my resume -- look at it!!
I have ignored her -- she just keeps sending more messages, asking the same questions.
I'm guessing that she'd get some kind of recruiting bonus if her company hired me. But if they don't have any jobs available, that's not going to work. Maybe she thinks if she keeps asking, my answer will change to something she likes better?
