This woman gets in everyone's business and I mean everyone.
She gets herself into meetings that she's not invited, then proceeds to ask tons of questions that are adressed on the meeting invite, then to those she is invited to she gets late and doesn't take the time to prepare herself to attend the meeting.
Today she decided that a change I made to something was wrong, the test she's making is a test that I made before deploying my change, I know my change is not causing the thing she claims. She thinks she's always right and that she has the wisdom of the world! Nothing that she ever says or do is wrong.
I have dreamed about voting her out of the team!!! I just don't have it in me to complain to my boss about her. But he knows how she rolls.
I just think she's so disrespectful to the rest of team...
Right now I'm just being passive aggressive towards her, she sent me a screen shot of what she thinks is the issue and I told her, I'll get back to you when I take a look at it. And right now I'm doing something completely different and I don't think I'll get to her demands until tomorrow, at the earliest.
Can you tell her that you discovered what is causing the problem and tell her it is something she has done.
Maybe tell her, the problem is she is dumber than a house made out of stupid.
Hahaha that would be priceless!!! She's been bugging me about this change even before I made it so she's just trying to "show me" she knows best. She hasn't been in that part of the code in a long time so I can't put it on her.
Is she in any way your supervisor? If not I might be tempted to just refuse to address her on the topic...like "Oh thanks but I will report my findings to my supervisor and notify you of any policy changes...but thanks for your input!"?? Like being intentionally obtuse as if you don't get what she's saying, KWIM?
I had a nosey Mc Noserson that was not above me in the food chain at all and I would just refuse to answer her questions or respond with another question as if i didn't get what she was asking. And tell her I was taking directive from My boss thankyouvery much. It drove her nuts! But she eventually caught on that I was going to answer a question with a question and that I wasn't letting her bait me.
I always say never underestimate the power to playing dumb!
Oh she's in no way or form above me in the command chain, we are a development team and we all are Software Engineers, she might be a senior developer (given that she's been in the business longer than I have) but she's not my boss!
I'm going to try and play dumb with her, I think it's better to have fun with her reactions.
Also I have a question for you guys! Did someone send people to take care of her? She's not here today and the air feels sooo light and nice, I swear I work more and better when she's not around! She sits right next to me.
