I just wanted to acknowledge that Dexter is a sick show. It's about a guy that kills people who kill people. Since mafia is a game about killing people, I thought it would be clever to use it as a theme. If anyone is worried that I'm going to delve into the darkness of the show please don't.
I possess the appropriate sensibilities to take the show and make it into a game where everyone who wants to play can have fun.
In the interest of full disclosure: Jordan Chase and his cronies have roles (if enough people sign up) but the game goes nowhere near where the TV series goes. I'm only using their names and likenessess.
If anyone has questions about the game feel free to post them here or PM me. Sign ups for the game will continue through the weekend. After that we can just use this space to discuss the series if anyone is inclined. However please keep in mind that I'm only on season 5.
DQM, I have only watched the show a few times, it is too intense/graphic for my liking. I am sure you have thought out the game thoroughly and it will be fun.
I haven't seen it but still want to play. It is a game where we pretend to lynch (a nice way of saying gang up on and kill) someone. Then the mafia kill an innocent at night. It isn't sunshine and rainbows, but it is just a game. We are not really killing each other. That would make the stakes to high for me, and we would run out of players fast. The T.V. show isn't real either. I don't see a problem here. I wouldn't judge someone for not wanting to watch the show or play the game but I really don't think it is going to keep most of us away.
