Where is everyone? As my title so cleverly states, I am alone and bummed. Anyone have anything going on? Fun or otherwise?  I keep seeing guests pop on and off. You should make a profile and come talk to mebiggrin.

Mom Half, I'm rarely here (besides Mafia) because when I'm online, it's usually at a different forum. It's probably bad form to name where exactly, but if you're interested then PM me.

Hi Opie! i know about The Geek Tablesmile. I used to be on MSN. I checked it out once but I don't think I would fit in. I am middle of the road as far as politics go and I pretty much dislike/distrust almost all politicianswink. I don't think that would win me any friends lol.

Thanks for the offer.  Maybe tomorrow.  I try to dedicate a certain amount of time to dealing with things and then compartmentalize them.

Many posters are both middle of the road and (as you say) distrustful, but I understand. I will say GT has expanded quite a bit since MSN went under.

I'm having an equally thrilling day of laundry and housework.

Trying to watch the news, but I really don't want to hear the speeches from the RNC last night. If I wanted to hear them, I'd have watched that.

Instead I watched LOTR. Mmmmm, Legolas and Aragorn. I need a House Elf.....

Thrilling is a great word for it. You could always join the kids on the slip and slide this afternoon. I am avoiding the news, politicians annoy me. I wouldn't mind a house elf, but I would prefer Aragornbiggrin.

I'm at work, doing lunch.

I'm kinda bummed, cause I just got the water bill. Yikes!! I knew it would be a bit higher than usual, since DH left the garden hose on last month and his 'repair' popped apart. I came home from work one day to the garden hose just running uncontrolled and the backyard watered really well. *Squish, squish*

I didn't know how long it had been running. 8000 gallons long that is. Waterbill's more than double. Guess who's not going to the air show this weekend.

Hey MomHD, I am feel better today thankfully. The slip and slide sounds fun!

No imagination, yikes! Sorry to hear about the bill hitting you like that. Sometimes water companies will let you divide up water excesses due to issues like this. Can't hurt to check if you want to.

Wow NI. That's a lot of water. I am sorry about the bill. I agree with Emm, maybe they could let you space it out over the next few bills?

Glad you are feeling better Emm. I was worried you would feel worse after being out in the heat.

Thanks guys, I'd rather pay it and be done with it. The entertainment fund will cover the extra. I had the money set aside for air show tickets and food.

Pssst, I'm not that keen on going to the airshow anyways. Tickets are $21 ea, the food is overpriced and I always end up with a sunburn and headache from the noise and jet fumes. DH is the one that goes gaga over anything that flys.

Too bad that your DH will miss it, but it sounds like you won't at all.  Air shows are fun once or twice, but that is about it.

I did the same thing and left our hose on overnight  a few weeks ago too.  We have a nice green spot in the middle of a sea of dead grass.

I kind of agree with you NI. I enjoyed the air show at Selfridge the year I went but everything was so over priced. I refused to buy food there. I was glad I remembered the water bottles and snack for the kids. It got us through till it was time to leave. I also hate to have bills hanging over me, if I have the money to pay them off right away that's the way I like to do it. I just thought the air show was something you really wanted to dowink.
