I's sorry Tigerlily, I hate dealing with house crap. I hope it is a quick/cheap fix.

When we bought our house I didn't think I would ever want to rent again. Turns out there are some serious upsides to renting. If I have a problem with anything (even something minor) all I do is call maintenance and they are over quick as a flash to fix it.

Oh man, that sucks! New home warranty was only a year? Any chance you can try to fight it through them?

That sucks. My sis and I bought a newer house 2001 and the previous owners took care of it but I still worry about if there could be issues. So far we only had to deal with cheap paint (takes more to paint over it). I would definitely see about having the people fix it since they knew it wasn't working before the warranty ran out.

Does the a/c itself only have a one year warranty as well? I guess I have never bought one but to me it seems like 2 years is awfully soon for major repairs on an a/c unit.

I hope you don't mind if I use your vent thread TL.

I'm rather upset right now but don't feel like starting my own thread.

So anyway it is currently Saturday Night and I am all dressed up even wearing MAKE UP!

There was an annual fund raiser that I've never been able to attend in all the years I've lived here but this year I was able to go. So I put on my best dress, some heels, some make up and I drove all the way to the *name of town 45 miles away* Community Center where the e-vite said the event was taking place.

No one was there! So I drove over to their office to see if there was a sign on the door explaining. Nope. So I drove around town asking people but everyone kept directing me back to the place where they -weren't-.

So I went to Carl's Jr *gag* for dinner and I drove another 45 minutes back home.

I'm sitting here and sure enough the e-vite and the map on the e-vite say *name of town 45 miles away* Community Center. But they were at the Holiday Inn. And no one was answering their phones because they were all at the party.

I'm sad/mad. I've been wanting to attend this party for years.

I'm sorry dqm :( That sounds really frustrating, I'd be sad/mad too - not only did you miss the party, but it wasted a lot of your time and effort too
