I think if you're going to look it up you should give other people a minimum numbers of hours to make contact in case they know or think they know.  I can't remember if it's in the rules but we should put a minimum time between question and response. 

How long do you think is reasonable? 4 or five hours?  More?

hmm...I was reading a book that I thought referenced Santeria - but seemed like it was a cross of christianity and voodoo or something. I'll have to go look that up.

I like the challenge of going with what I know so I probably would avoid looking things up if I didn't have an idea personally. If I had an idea of what it was, I might say I know it is something like Santiago (just an example) but not sure the exact name or spelling, then I would look it up.

The only issue with a time limit that I can see is night time. So maybe have whoever is "it" determine the length of time to answer?
