lol - at least I'm not alone! the little kid seemed really little, like toddler aged and her hair was short, but seemed curly. Can't remember what her siblings looked like or who/what was holding her captive. Not sure if the kid got lost in the forest or was kidnapped. I know, not a lot to go on.
eta: Now i'm thinking it was flowers in the little girl's hair. And that maybe she had a nature kind of name. (yes, i'll be searcing for this and going thru all my vhs tapes during christmas)

So we started watching the Water Babies earlier and one scene reminded me of something else I watched as a kid. All I can remember (probably the end of the cartoon/movie) is a little blonde child locked in a cage in...a dark forest? And her siblings (a boy and a girl?) came to rescue her and I think I remember the little kid creating light and making the dark forest nice and pretty. Possibly growing flowers and stuff. Remember the little girl from the ewok movie? I'm picturing the animated youngest kid to look like her, but younger? I also get the feeling the youngest child was wearing leaves in her hair, possibly in a circle.
Anyone have any ideas? It's driving me crazy. It's something that would have been on tv in the 1980s, but possibly made in the 70s?
I had no idea what it could be until you mentioned leaves in her hair. Now I feel like I should know what it is but don't remember. It is going to drive me crazy, thanks!
