Or am I just an uncultured redneck?  I'm guessing it's supposed to be a brunch-type thing.

I've never heard of it before, but as one who loves the breakfast meal, I think it's a great idea!

Yeah, that's earlier than I'm used to, but it could be fun if it's a brunch like you suspect.

I went to a brunch shower once. The hostesses favorite meal was breakfast, so that is what she cooked the best. Maybe you'll get mimosas or fancy coffee drinks.

The baby shower thrown for me last weekend started at 10 am (brunch), so I guess it's not too weird...

It's a little odd to me... brunch in my world would be more around 10:30.

 For me too, but I have so much to do before I can leave the house or even get started in the mornings that I hate anything before 11.

Yeah, it's early for me, too, since I'll have to leave at 8am to get there on time. At least I don't have to also get AB ready - he's staying home with Daddy!

I didn't think about how early you'd have to leave. You will have to be up and dressed with makeup on at your normal weekday time. But still, you might get the mocha chino, or the mimosa.
