Ouch! As a fellow sunburn sufferer, I empathize!

ETA:  Not to mean I have a sunburn now, but I have suffered from them in the past!

So, this weekend my family went to the lake. Gorgeous, sunny, breezy weather all day. The perfect temp to sit outside in a bathing suit aaaaallllll day. That first weekend in the sun always feels so good and I always get burned, b/c I'm always saying, 'I've only been out here for half an hour," "I'll put on sunscreen in a little while."

I think I spent 5 straight hours on the pier in the sun. I read most of a novel. I am paying for it today. Face, arms, knees and the tops of my feet.

Oh wow. I put on sun screen when I go to water aerobics. I know I'll be in the sun for an hour so lather it on. Any time I think I'm going to be in the sun I lather up.

Not quite that bad! I am not pasty-pale, so I tan fairly well. I'm pink and tender, not red and in agony.

Ophelia, soak a washcloth or dishcloth in vinegar then lay it on the burnt areas. It soothes and I'd swear on actual money it also helps reduce the burn itself.

I want to say apple cider, but I would Google just in case.

My mother always used apple cider but that could be just what was on hand.

Tried the vinegar. I think it feels better. Not sure if that was the vinegar or just having something cool and wet on me.

And the dog keeps trying to lick my vinegary, sunburned feet.
