My mindset is fairly negative at this point in time; it's been a bad couple of days.

 NEVER EVER EVER.

otherwise known as when she stops being a brat and decides to start eating. So... we are hoping that once she is on more table solids she will eat better. Then we can get rid of the tube.  She does ok with solids right now, but not great. certainly not enough to support herself, though milk would be her main source of calories anyway at this age.

(((JMF))) AB has an oral motor delay/dysfunction and does not want to eat anything but Gerber purees. I know it's not the same thing you're dealing with, but we can commiserate over their stubbornness together. (Which they get from their fathers, of course!)

by golly if this kid can't put a toy in her mouth on the first try 9/10 times.  But you can hand her a piece of food she has never seen before, and it will not go anywhere near her mouth! WTH kid!??

 

Tazer, it is ok. for as sick as she was, i will take dealing with her feeding tube and some mild gross and fine motor delays. it doesn't really stop her from being a normal baby.  as she evidenced by learning tonight that you can make a fabulous amount of noise and stay awake if you kick the crib with your feet, and hit a toy on it with your hands. :P

I am...for quite a while but mostly lurking. Would have chimed in sooner but our power went kapoot around noon yesterday and the dear power company workers (no snark there 'cause they worked hard in unpleasant conditions) got us back on the grid around 1:30 this morning.
