I am copying this from Zeta.

 

Dear peeps, first allow me to say that this is not Moonlit Moor, this is her eldest son.

With an extremely heavy heart, I must be the bearer of terrible news. Today my mother, Allison Lynn Pitts, aka, Moonlit Moor, passed away on the operating table, due to complications during an attempt to remove a cancerous tumor obstructing the upper lobe of her of left lung. The cancer had progressed further then what we could detect.

My mother was a great lady, a wonderful mother, just an awesome woman in general. She served her country in the Army, worked for the California department of transportation (caltrans) and raised me and my younger brother. She is survived by her two sons, Jason and Adam Maser, one grandson, and one granddaughter. We will miss her greatly, she was not supposed leave us this soon.

one of her wishes in the event of such a situation, I was to post, and let her peeps know that she would no longer be lurking around the board. To those who know of the address, feel free to share, we will not refuse the peeps the ability to send condolences.

I saw this on the Zeta board. So sad. I mourn her loss to our board, as well as to her loving family and friends.

It's things like this that makes this and the Zeta board so real for me. We're not just a group of faceless strangers, but real flesh-and-blood human beings, who continue, despite all our differences, to be united in our grief when something like this happens. And, conversely, to rejoice as a group when we hear of peep births and other happy occasions.

I saw a bunch of messages on FB regarding Allison, from a lot of peeps.
I'm sorry she was taken so soon.

My condolences to her family and friends.
