Wrong side of the country for me to be much help (ETA: all my information on Disney is for Orlando's WDW)... but... as a general rule of thumb, avoid eating IN "The Magic Kingdom" if possible (unless it's part of a package deal, and pre-paid). Most food available inside the Disney parks is 1.5 to 2 times higher than the exact same thing outside the park, elsewhere.

So, if you've read my other thread, my sister is divorcing her husband. I've always wanted to go with my nephew to DisneyWorld, but I knew that there was no way that my sister would be able to afford for their family of 5 (her husband, her 2 stepsons, her and her son) to go. Well, now that they're getting a divorce, she will be able to afford for the 2 of them to go. So we're (my mom, sister, me and my nephew) aiming for fall of 2014. Time to save and plan, etc. Any tips or resources? I know there are lots of forums and blogs, but I'm afraid if I google "save money at Disney" it will be too much to go through!
Oooooh that's so exciting!!!
We are aiming to go once we are done having kids, and the youngest one is at least 6, so that put us in 2020 lol, but I'm excited for that!
So I'm part of a board in BabyCenter and one of the gals is a travel agent specialized in Disney, she has helped a ton of the other posters to have a really great and affordable experience in Disney. If you have question I can ask them for you, or I can point you to the board.
In babycenter.com go to Community, then look for the Bargain Hunters group.
Take into account that the board it's definitely not a place to look for bargains lol, and the gals can be a little bit rough with the newbies. Don't make an introduction thread and your set to go.
The gals there remind me to how the board was when it lived in the MSN boards, everyone said that they were really bad lol.
I can create a post to page the gal that does the Disney thing and then you can ask her anything you want. I'm Desdenova there as well.
Sent us a text saying we should all go to Disney next fall! We did NOT discuss this trip in front of her. :( I'm sure feelings will be hurt. But her son is just so awful, and he is super competitive with my nephew. And since he is 8 and my nephew is 3, that is a huge problem.
