So, I was at the Stop 'n Shop this weekend, loading up on a few staples--like chips and salsa--when I woman with a cart nearly ran into my cart. She was busy chatting on her cell and doesn't see me. I'm not to thrilled, but oh well. At least we're not out on the highway. While still on the cell, she says to me, "Opps, sorry" and continues chatting away. Then, she did something I really thought was strange.
She proceeds to order some merchandise while pushing her card through the aisles, all the while, giving out her personal info, like CC#, name on the card, and the code on the back of the card. I thought this was pretty foolish. You could hear her all over the store.
What do the rest of you think? Do you order things by CC over the phone out in public like that?
I was very tempted to say something to her, in a nice way, like: "Ummm...Ma'am, did you know you just broadcast your CC # to the entire store," but I decided not to. When you try to advise strangers, it almost never turns out well!
