I didn't start shopping til after 3. I had a belated birthday lunch with a friend (who also insisted on taking me to get frozen yogurt), then I stopped by the dreaded Walmarts. (Yes, the s is on purpose). I was only there to pay for an online order, but still it wasn't that bad. I wasn't in line for more than 5 minutes.
Target was a little more crowded, but I lucked out and found a short line. I saved over $10 at Half-Price Books with my coupons, but their register did NOT want to accept my gift card. We got it working, but I think I bought a book I already own. (I've done this at least 3 times now). Even the mall wasn't crazy. I found a killer parking spot! I found a couple tops for 50% and 60% off.
To top it all off, no one was nasty or rude. The traffic was heavier than usual, but no one was blowing stop signs, running red lights, or blocking intersections!

Great job, Aardvark. I didn't go shopping at all. I saw plenty of advertised items for me, but I need to not buy for me until I figure out what I'm getting for everyone else. The other bargains just weren't that great, so I didn't bother. I have to go to work for a couple hours today, so maybe I'll check out Target and Kohls then.

I survived by working that day. I still have not done any Christmas shopping. I get paid this Friday, but not sure if there will be enough to purchase gifts. Will have to wait and see.
Yay for short lines and good deals, Aardvark! I didn't go this year. One of my friends always likes to hit the stores at the crack of 4 am and a couple of us go along for fun. Then we go meet some more friends at Perkins for eggs benedict at about 10. This year her daughter had a baby on Thanksgiving so she didn't need us to help her find things.
