My week has been frustratingly stressful through a million tiny, insignificant things that are innocuous by themselves but brutal all together, so I am trying to focus on tiny happy things today to keep it all from bubbling all back up.
I downloaded a Sherlock ringtone for my phone and it makes me smile to hear it no matter my mood.
I got to go to Wegmans by myself this morning, and didn't have to bundle three kids, buckle then into the van, unbuckle them, moby a 20lb baby to myself, haul everyone through the store, unmoby, rebuckle, unbuckle, unbundle, etc. It was awesome.
I don't have to cook tonight because it is pizza night with my awesome-in-laws.
My babies are sweet, loving little children who light up my world (when they aren't driving me nuts, of course!).
Tomorrow I get to escape for a couple hours to look at patterns for medieval princess dresses for my girls to wear to the local toy museum's royal ball in March.
I have actually been consistent with an exercise program this month and I am loving the results!
Don't be shy, share your little happies for today!
Today was "free pizza day" at work. I had forgotten about that AND forgot to bring something to eat when I left the house... so, on the drive to work, I was depressed about not getting to eat until I got home. Insert happy face when I see the customary free pizza box!

I used my new glue gun! I also acquired supplies for a new project AND I went to Half-Price Books where I found a few fun things for AB and a few for me.

Sent in my taxes this week, and will be getting both State and Federal returns.
One of the supervisors at work brought in dim sum for Chinese New Year. We each had five different dim sum; they were so tasty and very much appreciated.
Went shopping for the dress patterns today but the only ones on sale were Butterick, and they really don't have kids' costume patterns. (Not being a downer, keep reading!)
The one I really want it's McCalls, and this Thursday those patterns are $1.99! I will find out the yardage needed online and start buying the fabric and other supplies with coupons this week so I can get started!
Should I make a princely hat for DS7months? Maybe a jester hat?
It snowed all day yesterday. I had to spend 45 minutes shoveling the chunks the plows left blocking my driveway, but it gave me the perfect excuse for not going in to work. (Salaried, and not a required workday, so no real repercusions).
I went to the Puppy Bowl Experience at the Discovery Center in Times Square in NYC yesterday. If that doesn't put a smile on your face, nothing will!
That sounds great!
It was!
I hope they do it again live, next year! The tix were free; you just had to pay $1 to register your entrance time online.
In addition to the puppies playing the game, there were dogs and puppies from various adoption agencies being shown. It was all I could do NOT to take them all home with me.
I haven't even seen it on tv, so I don't know what exactly it involves. It sounds so cute though!
Basically, it's a group of about 10 puppies at a time playing on a mini-football field set. There are a bunch of toys in the middle and whenever a puppy grabs a toy and runs with it over the goal line, it's considered a "touchdown."

haha. How cute and silly. Well I'd rather watch that than football.

And speaking of happy things and football, how about those Seattle Seahawks!? I was glad they won. I felt a little bad for the Denver players, but they'll get over it.
Whacked off 9 inches of hair last night. I'm making a donation to Pantene Beautiful Lengths and my head feels so much better. And the fact that I've got a big bag o' hair sitting around makes me giggle. And my new haircut is super cute!

He is the former manager of Manchester United - a Premier League soccer team in the UK.
Happy thing for today - we took AardvarkBoy to the orthotist's to get him fitted for new AFOs. The last time we went, he screamed and carried on, eventually getting so worked up that he puked on the tech. Today? He had fallen asleep in the car, so we were careful to keep him that way in the office. Preacher Man had to turn him around, which woke him up, but he sat quietly in Daddy's arms while the tech made the casts.
We figured out that it must have been the table AB objected to, because after the tech was done, I set him on the exam table to change his diaper and he FREAKED.

Wooow!!!
That's amazing!! I'm going to do something like that in March!
I was going to do it in December, but my cousin is getting married in March and I wanted to have my hair long for that.
~~Although we had many 'blips' of power outages yesterday (off but immediately back on) we did not lose power. (hundreds of thousands in my greater area did)

Locks of Love it the one everyone's heard of but they have a 10 inch minimum and Pantene Beautiful lengths has an 8 inch minimum.
The first time I did it, the lady made a ponytail at the nape of my neck and whacked it off. So the hair around my face was much longer than the hair at the back of my neck, so she had to trim off about 3 inches around my face to make it even. This time, the lady divided my hair into 4 sections, measured, made them even, then cut. So there was much less wasted hair as she trimmed, etc. And I got to keep more hair!
I haven't found one here in Mexico that I want to donate yet, I've been looking but I don't trust any of those, some calls need to be made so I can choose.
Also I want to get a pixie cut :D
A friend of my sister is a hair dresser and he's great so I'm going to him so I can get a cool hair cut.
I received a $100 amazon gift card for Christmas for books. I have been loving the ability to just download a new book each time I finish one. If makes me so happy to have new things to read!
DH and I will be moving over the next few weeks starting next week. I am sooo excited to have a place that is ours from the beginning and is at least 60% larger than we are in now.
