So here is the deal, we have a water heater that heats the water only when we need the hot water (I don't know how you call it)
The thing is the darned thing is not working properly, the flame turns off and we have hot water for 5 seconds (I counted) and then it gets cold. It's frustrating and the DH hasn't been able to fix the issue, ergo I haven't had a decent shower the whole weekend and I told him that if I couldn't get a decent shower soon we would be moving to a hotel until the issue was fixed.
I don't really want to spend the money on a hotel to be able to have a hot shower, but not being able to do so makes the start of my day really rough.
Sooooooooo any one knows something about water heaters?
And I changed my avatar finally so you could see LO :D
I could be remembering totally wrong, but i feel like somebody told me that their pilot light had something on it, and that's why it wasn't staying lit? Maybe it needs to be cleaned?
Our gas stove (about 20 years old) had gotter to where it had a very very low output. Like, it would take 10-20 minutes to boil a medium pot of water. What happened was that stuff (I guess soot?) gradually builds up in the lines (or whatever they are called).
Try changing the battery. Ours is a 9 volt. Ours actually started doing the same the other day. I turned the flame setting higher, let it run for a while, and then turned it back down the next day.
We bought the thing about two years ago, so the build up thing is very possible! I'll tell DH about it and we'll see if that helps. DH changed the batteries on Saturday, he thought that would solve the issue.
I don't know about a service number but I'll check and when it starts acting up again we'll call it, surprisingly it started working again yesterday, which made me very happy but I don't trust that thing to behave!
