Darn snow and roads and dumb driver!

Well here in Wyoming it snowed last night (imagine that~!)and some (*%$%^ feecking B!TCH, uninsured B!TCH that is, hit DH on his way home from working nights, possibly totalled car we JUST got for him for work arghhhh.  She was speeding and crossed center line.

He and the guy he car pools with are ok thank goodness! but the stupid lady was speeding limke a crazed thing and had not cleared the ice off her van windows, just about ran another vehicle off the road, hit DH so hard it about flipped the car (a Ford Fusion), crunched the drivers door and back door and they won't open and there is a big gap at the top of the door. hood crunched and no air bags went off, but air bag light is on.....

she got a ticket for speed to fast for conditions and no insurance...big deal...WE HAVE NO CAR!

It is like the damn straw that is literally just breaking MY back!

I AM beyond over this moody witch who works for me, we are replacing her, but the new person is being jerked around by her current boss on getting to come over here for training before the whiny witch leaves....

I AM JUST ready to run away LOL

Whoops oh yes I can't, we are down a car

it will all work oot I know, but right now it just feels overwhelming argh

Oh, Riding, I am so sorry this is happening, but so glad that DH is safe. What a stupid idiot this woman is! Are you insuranced for accidents with uninsured drivers?

I hope things work out with the new person, when she eventually arrives and that it makes your life less stressful.

OMG that sucks! I am so sorry! Just count your blessing he is okay and that is what really matters. Everything can be fixed but he is one of a kind! I would contact a lawyer or make sure you are getting paid and getting all you can get from her to get a replacement car. They should probably be paying for a rental while that car is fixed or while you find a new car. Like when it is blatantly the other person's fault like this they are going to have to pay out the nose to make it up to you.

Even if she is uninsured or poor you can still try to get whatever you can get out of her. You never know, she might be rich or have a rich Daddy who will pay to get her out of trouble or whatever. I would get a lawyer.

our insurance company is awesome and they are right on it, have an adjuster in town for something else, so hoping he can look at it today or first thing in AM, and might not be totalled, but they will be checking that closely. IF it is totalled we owe much less than it is worth, so we are ok there, but I HATE the hassle of getting a car! argh

and the State of Wyoming will be going after her for not having insurance and she will be ordered to pay restitution and that will be our deductible. Our insurance company is already starting the process of going after her for any costs for repairs and we have ccess to another vehicle till this is all resolved, so whew.

AND this will not affect our insurance rates.

all in all it could be much worse, but IT is just the point! darn twit that she is, but she is also a vehicle-less twit, since it was towed to county impound and she must prove insurance to get it released and DH said it has no headlight and bumper is hanging off and with her not having had insurance if she finds someone who will insure her it will be high risk and way $$$$$$ Karma, I wanna hug YOU

cheers!

thanks for listening and letting me vent

Jeez, you would think someone w/o insurance would at least be a better driver!

It sucks that she didn't have insurance, but, at least the humans (is it a stretch to call her that since she chose to be an uninsured driver?) are not seriously injured. I hope you had "Uninsured/Underinsured" coverage (it's like a $15 dollar, or thereabout, add-on to my policy every 6 months).

Because there are always going to be people who don't think laws apply to them and that they won't get caught--until they do get caught. I'm glad they impound the cars until the person can prove insurance.

Unless they hit and run and then the police won't do anything to them. DH even gave them the license plate and they still did not do anything to them.

 Sorry, that is sucky!doh

However, now you can look forward to some new car smell.smile

In the event that an uninsured, at-fault driver has any assets, does your insurance company go after her for them?

That would really tick me off! Impound her damn car and haul her off to jail.

Glad hubby and passenger are OK though. Wouldn't hurt to get checked out by a dr. just in case.

Looking for a car IS a PITA. Good luck with it, hope you find a good one.
